Serenading is a popular tradition in the Philippines, especially in provinces.

A man who’s interested with a Filipina visits her house and serenades her with a song.

Usually, the man plays the guitar or hires someone to play for him.

It is the Filipino way of courting a Filipina.

A Filipina is wooed by this kind of gesture.
